I feel like doing art is really important for students at any age. Growing up I always loved doing art and I think it helps round the students education. I grew up doing many creative things and I think it really helped me be a well rounded student.

Top 5 Things I Learned: 1) Grades kill creativity.
2) Children need to practice instead of having the teacher show examples 3) Creativity scores have been dropping since the 90's 4) Freedom does not help creativity unless it has a focus. 5) The classroom setting can help develop a child's creativity.
1) Do schools kill creativity? I rate this video with a 4/5. Ted talks are generally informative and funny and this one is no different. The only bad part is that it is very long.

2/5 This video had good ideas, but it got really annoying after awhile. For a video pushing for creativity I didn't feel as if it was that creative.
3) 5/5. Such an awesome and creative video. Learning creativity from a young age leads to people like this, I think its very important to have creativity in the classrooms.
This was a really intresting article. It had so many great points. The points were easily readible. Plus their was so much information. This sight provided me a lot of facts, but it got overwhelming after awhile. I think there were a couple to many points and the site was an old school background. Other than that the sight was good.

I know the new york times always have great information and realible sources, but sometimes the articles are just to boring. What I did like about this article was the quote about how much better money could be put to use. We could use just a little bit of the money of art supplies and it could go a long way.

I loved this article and the way it was set up. Since it was set up for parents it was easy to read and really personable. I liked that it had information regarding the creative process. Since it was directed towards parents it said to let the children make their own choices. Since I want to be a teacher I can't let the children make all their own choices. I would have to find a different way to help foster the creative process.

This was a really unique article that I hadn't ever thought of before. I never knew that furniture could make a difference in someone's creativity. I did think the article was somewhat silly since it had no facts, or stories to back it up. I also think that it couldn't hurt to help put in an easel in the classroom or puppet show.

This had a couple intresting facts, but I didn't feel like they were enough or had to do with teaching. I liked that it showed a counter example. I had no idea creativity could be a bad thing.
